The IHP Advantage

The MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP) offers a special reduced tuition benefit to IHP alumni and all employees of Mass General Brigham, including IHP affiliates. Through this offering, you have access to a variety of prerequisites, certificates and degree programs, to support your professional development and accelerate your career growth.

  • Singular Focus: Health professions are our only area of focus - The IHP is a graduate school founded in 1977 by Mass General Hospital and the only degree-granting affiliate of Mass General Brigham.
  • Student Success: We support students through classwork and clinical experience, driving a graduation rate of 96% - among the highest in the country.
  • Range of educational options: Programs, courses and certificates designed in consultation with MGB employees who share your interests, needs, challenges and career goals. Choices range from an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing to a Master's in Healthcare Data Analytics.
  • Interprofessional education: We pioneered interprofessional team-based learning, strengthening each student’s ability to work in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.
  • IHP educational lessons come directly from a healthcare setting: IHP faculty are practicing within MGB clinics, hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
