She was kind of going back and forth about it...because it is intimidating - a doctorate - 'Could I hack it?' I encouraged her and let her know the skills are portable no matter what you're doing, and that it's doable. And throughout my time in the program I was talking with her about it, and she would ask me questions, and I just really encouraged her. It's how I wound up getting my doctorate, someone encouraged me.
