MGH.CPD

Who's it for?

This self-paced, online course is for you if you are:
  • Returning to school after a long break to make a career change and become a nurse.
  • In the process of completing your science prerequisites and applying to nursing school.

What's unique?

In this course, you work at your own pace—but not on your own. We have designed it to combine two of the most powerful tools of learning: working with a Faculty Guide and completing focused activities at your own pace.

  • As a bonus, each student will be partnered with a Peer Mentor who is a current nursing student or recent graduate, and who will share firsthand knowledge, skills, behaviors, and values that you will need to be ready for nursing school. All Peer Mentors are current nursing students or recent graduates.
  • Your Faculty Guide will be with you every step of the way, helping you to develop and strengthen the learning skills you will need to be ready for nursing school.
  • An E-Resource (or “electronic resource”) incorporates the course text and a variety of activities so you can use a computer to read and practice what you are learning, while you are learning it.
