The MGH Institute’s Health Professions Education program was created to help solve a growing need for innovative educational reform and collaborative leadership across the health professions. The 33-credit master’s program is designed for credentialed health professionals who wish to improve their teaching methods and skills in curriculum design, program evaluation, leadership, and scholarship.

Students proceed through the program with a cohort of health professionals from across the health care spectrum, including physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other credentialed health professionals. This rich variety of backgrounds brings a wide range of voices and perspectives into course discussion, creating a truly interprofessional experience. Our students become part of a community of scholars committed to improving how to educate the next generation of health care professionals. And our graduates become part of a network of academic and research mentors.
